TVG-IDs

A tvg-id is the join key between your M3U and XMLTV <channel id="…"> / programme channel="…".

What we do

• Readable origin ids are kept (EPGShare passthrough, many i.mjh packs).
• Opaque tokens are slugged from the display name and the source suffix is appended, e.g. Law.Order.prime.
• Very long names are truncated with a short stable hash so ids stay unique.

How to look one up

On epg.monster/diff pick a source and search. The page does not load the entire 15k-channel catalog — type at least two characters. Copy the converted id into your playlist.

Blank programmes

A matching tvg-id with no now/next data means that source’s guide is empty for that channel (upstream hole, or the pack is stale). Try another suffix for the same network, or wait for the next sync.
