Rate limits

Public EPG downloads are limited per IP (about 10 pulls per 5 minutes). Hitting the cap returns HTTP 429 and can temporarily ban the IP for half an hour.

• Use gzip. Cache in the player.
• Don’t script tight loops against /epg.xml.
• Prefer a per-source URL if you only need one suffix.

TVG-ID search is also rate-limited so the UI cannot scan every pack on every keystroke.
